I bought this shirt. It has CNY spelt all over it. (although mummy thinks it looks like table cloth).

Reunions

To me, the best part of the Chinese New Year Holidays is that we get to “reunite’” with many of our relatives and friends and enjoy a good time of fellowship over sumptuous food.

Nathaniel also got to enjoy good fellowship with his cousins and his friends albeit overwhelmed by the attention he attracted sometimes. It was interesting to see Nathaniel warm up to his uncles and aunties, allowing them to carry him away under the disguise of the words “gai gai”. What’s more interesting is how he reacts to his cousins and friends. He would watch intently as they played, and in his own nonchalant way, he would blend into the fun. Sometimes we caught him staring at an older ‘gor gor’ with admiration, his expression read:

“Wow! I want to do that next time when I grow up!”

We also wanted to see if Nathaniel would share his toys when he had friends over. To our delight, he was most willing to. Not a hint of selfishness as he displayed the qualities of a gracious host. Well done Nathaniel!

The best part is there are 15 days to this celebration and more reunion dinners to come!

We should have a Chinese New Year type holiday every month!
