Look Ma! No Hands!

Besides being an expert crawler, he has also been training very hard at cruising (walking with support).  We have noticed he would ‘walk’ for a considerable amount of time, almost as if he is training for something, and just occasionally, when he feels he has mustered enough courage, he would release his hands, and stand all by himself.  He would always break into a great smile, satisfied with his accomplishment before trying it all over again.

Hahaha, seems like they both work for a treat!

Lately, our parents have been teaching him tricks, from clapping and waving goodbye to the mandatory flying kiss and basic representative actions.  But the best and most handy trick has to be this…

He lets out a silly little smile when we ask him “Where is your funny face?”.  This “trick” I attribute to my sister-in-law.. very useful when taking photos! Thanks Lailing! The best part is he enjoys doing it so much my parents are beginning to worry.. haha.

I hope to post videos of him doing his tricks soon.. he has a whole bevy of it up his sleeves now. Actually come to think of it, its a little reminiscence of us training Kaizer… :D

Expert Crawler

Nathaniel has become quite the expert crawler.  Its great to know that our son is going places!

If you have your volume on, you will discover that he is quite talkative now too.  Definitely not inherited from daddy! :D

Have not been taking much photos.. I should actually, he is really growing/changing/developing now.

Restless at 9 months

Nathaniel is 9 months old.  He will have officially spent more time outside mummy’s body than in it from now on.  :D
He is beginning to show us that he has his own opinion on things and he wont hesitate showing his displeasure if his opinion is not heeded.  It’s time to teach him the word “NO!”.  He has more strength than ever now, which also means more pain for mummy and daddy when he ‘hits’ or ‘bites’ us in his excitement.  We will ’scream’ in pain only for the little one to break into that contagious cheeky little chuckle.  Occasionally, he also manages to muster enough strength to stand on his own for a few seconds and we never fail to be amazed at his development.  It really gives us great pleasure to see him grow..

I remembered blogging about our bedtime routine and how we used to entertain him while lying together on the bed.  Well, Nathaniel does all the entertaining now.  This little worm of a boy would roll, stand, crawl and blow his saliva bubbles all over the bed now.  He has so much energy that it was tiring just watching him do his ‘floor routine’ across the whole bed.  I must admit, that it takes extra effort now to match his energy levels.

Grandma bought him a tent full of balls which he gladly shared with his friend, the silly penguin.

We took the opportunity this national day weekend to bring Nathaniel to watch fireworks! (actually, it was more for mummy lah.. keke.)  Well, Nathaniel slept through the din of the aerial display… and was expressionless throughout the fireworks.. hahaha.  The parents enjoyed it nonetheless!
