MORE Celebrations!

Lazy daddy has not been keeping up with blogging so here is a quick summary of the 2 weeks.

1) Little Nathaniel celebrated Baby Claira’s first month. He has been promoted to the status of 表哥!Claira is such a sweet little baby and she never fails to remind us how little Nathaniel used to be and how far we have come (actually not far lah.. 8 months only.. haha…).  It would be tremendous fun seeing these 2 cousins grow up together.

Nathaniel as usual, looking messy and mischievous whilst Claira looking sweet and dainty.

Proud mummies!

2) Little Nathaniel celebrated Uncle Kaizer’s 7th birthday!  Although Nathaniel still doesn’t really interact with Kaizer, I’m quite sure Kaizer is one of the first words he understands as every time we ask him “Where’s Kaizer?”, Nathaniel would most definitely look at the floor and scan around for that black furry thing.

Happy Birthday Kaizer!

3) Nathaniel celebrated his graduation from infant vaccinations.. finally!  He has his last pneumococcal jab this weekend.  This time he let out a hearty cry despite daddy trying to distract him by blowing bubbles which the PD provided.  His cries subsided quickly leaving behind teary eyes and soft manja whines.. Brave boy. Its another milestone!

4) Little Nathaniel also celebrated daddy’s birthday this weekend!  We thought it might be fun to bring him to the Underwater World in sentosa as he has always shown a keen interest in water and fishes.  It was obvious that Daddy was the one that was most intrigued by the array of underwater creatures on display!  At the end of the day, I reckon it was daddy that had the most fun squeezing with the hordes of tourists and acting like one as well!  In fact, above the tourist attractions and wonderful dinner my wife so thoughtfully planned, I really simply just loved bringing my family out and spending time with them.  I look forward to every opportunity where we can spend such moments together.  That would make me a contented daddy.

We went 4 times round the underwater tunnel to milk every single penny of the entrance fee!  I think this was the 4th round as Nathaniel looked understandably bored already.. haha.

Did you have fun Nathaniel? I hope you did, I know mummy and me certainly did.

You’ll Never Crawl Alone!

Nathaniel had another 2 friends visit today.  Nathaniel, Edgar and Kayla surely added colour to an otherwise drab Monday for me.  It was another wonderful evening of Northern Indian food, ice wine, Häagen-Dazs, durians and cute babies.  We will definitely do this more often… perhaps minus the durians.. :D

And of course the Liverpool fans couldn’t resist taking a photo together!

Crawling

Since Nathaniel signaled his intention to crawl, we have been assisting him and encouraging him to do so.  Getting on his fours and moving about seemed second nature to him pretty quickly albeit the occasional falls.  In fact, we have so much fun with him being mobile that we got him a play mat!  So evenings now are spent rolling and crawling with him in our makeshift play area (smack in the middle of the hall).  I used to wonder why parents would want to paste cartoon decals on their car, paint cartoons on their walls or place cartoon mats in their contemporary designed home… now I know.  Baby resets our priorities. :D

Nathaniel was so pleased with his new play mat that he invited some friends over to play. :D   So along came Ardelle and Ean Shaw ( all 3 of them were born 5 days apart of each other ).  As usual it was a night of fun (more for the parents) as the little ones interacted; and for the first time, Nathaniel knew what it meant to share his toys.. :D

What a difference from 6 months ago when they were doing their random mambo moves. :D

Celebrations

Nathaniel’s schedule is packed this weekend with 2 birthday parties.  In the twinkling of an eye, the babies who graduated from the comfort of their’s mummy’s wombs in 2007 are starting to celebrate their first birthday!  It was fun attending birthday parties where the birthday boys didn’t know what was happening.. Hahaha.  It was a juxtaposition of the parents’ excitement and pride against the total obliviousness of the birthday boys, which made it all the more.. cute. :D

My church’s ‘class of 2007′ wondering why birthday boy is crying. :D   I love how the way these little ones ‘interact’ with each other.  Blessed Birthday Asriel!

Nothing like a nice bath at the end of the day!

Soon.. it will be your turn Nathaniel.. And I can’t imagine this little baby being a year old.
