One can say what they want at Lo Hei, right?
As tehpeng continues on with his dream for Liverpool – “Liverpool win Premier League ah”, I opt for “Bag Bag Bag ah!” this year.
Does that mean 3 bags this year?
My eye spy this while random surfing…

It’s been awhile since I’ve hankered after any bag. This is on my “I don’t mind having it” list and I like that it’s a more “rugged” version of the classic boogie. A pretty bag-elf told me there’s a sale on-going while ming exclaims that “it can hold A4 stuff”.
Such temptations! And I’ve been good this year…hmmm….

In a bid to move away from our comfort zone for dimsum (aka KamBoat) and to celebrate my parents’ 30th wedding anniversary, we went to Royal China.
And also cos I was thinking of lobster noodles (its specialty) after watching Sam Leong whip up lobster meepok in some heartland central last night.
It’s been a while since I dim-sumed so all the usual suspects were on the table (except egg tarts and lengyong bao which weren’t on the menu! How can!?!) :: har gao, cheong fun, crispy beancurd roll, mango prawn roll, glutinous rice, char siew bao etc.
And braised duck tongue(s).

tehpeng :: How many ducks died for this??
An acquired taste, I admit, and I love it! Anyone else like it too?
We even managed a quick zip to Raffles City with BBNat in tow (on stroller). The place has revamped (yet again), with many new retail outlets such as a huge Kate Spade store where the lady immediately told me “We have diaperbags in store…” Hah!
I had my eyes on this… (Hey, it’s a new year! The bag-count is erh…re-started.
)
But this lilsnooze went home without buying anything!

Yes, THE gown that almost every gal has dreamt of.
Though I’m soon-to-be-married-for-2-years-with-a-baby-on-the-way, I accompanied Dada to the Vera Wang gownshow organised by HerWorld Brides at the Goodwood Park Hotel, nonetheless.
Yes, you can imagine the looks I received, waddling around with my tent-like dress (as if I’m trying to hide the bulging tummy! Haha).
Actually I’ve never gone for any of such shows while I was a bride-to-be.
Well, I’m there mostly for the food, really. Small tasty bites.

As photography/videography is not allowed during the show, we were trying to critique each gown and give it a tick or cross on the helpful pricelist, along with our comments, feeling very much like a (fashion)buyer.
The most expensive gown on the runway today, from the LUXE collection, is yours at $23,000! And with no Swarovski crystals diamonds, mind you.
I bet all the hubs-to-be were crossing that off the list.
The cocktail dresses, on the other hand, were surprisingly within a comfy range of $500 – $1,000.
Dada even very helpfully marked the dress I like with a “star” on the list.
There will always be an occasion for the dress, right?

Hands up those of you who owned (or still own) lego bricks.
I can’t recall which group of friends I was chatting with but we came to realise that the girls built houses (with the green land, complete with windows, doors and furniture etc) while boys built cars/aeroplanes with those multi-coloured bricks.
Last Christmas, we wanted to get a Lego set for our sweeties Lauren&BJ as pressie and they don’t just sell the bricks anymore. As with toys from our era, they’ve evolved – they come in fanciful themed sets instead.
Not quite sure what’s gotten over me with all the recent nostalgic-related posts but I blame my pregger hormones. Haha.
So, you can imagine my excitement when I saw this.
Absolutely cool.
