Ermm….something tells me I should not give up my day job and homeschool Nat.

fyi, I was trying to draw Dibo the gift dragon and his friends, when Nat was watching an episode.

It was a 4-days-away-from-it-all kind of trip up to Seremban. We had no online connection and nothing to distract us, not even cable.We armed ourselves with reading materials (tehpeng bought 8days for me, cos he knows I like to read up on Star Awards gossip.Heh), DS Lite & PSP (everyone found their inner baking mama & Nat can play Cooking Mama – Chop, slice & stir!) & Gossip Girl season 2 (which I only managed 15 minutes of epi 1). We had the little ones to keep us occupied this time round!

And of course, there’s shopping! After a very memorable shopping day the last trip up, I wanted to explore 1-Utama again. Tehpeng researched the map and configured the GPS the night before and it was a smooth 1-hr drive.

Tehpeng:: Well, if we managed the drive to Desert Hills outlet using Mapquest print-out directions, we should be able to find our way with GPS & a proper map this time.

I was good, only managed 2 Junkfood tees (from FOS) and a pair of flats. Oh and more Skinfood items. Nat has a lot of stash though.  Isn’t that so true of our shopping carts nowadays?

It was the first trip up for Nat and he was all “yay!everyoneishere!let’splayball!goalgoalgoal!” from the moment he wakes till he knocks out for the day. Which, technically speaking, is what happens everyday for him anyway.

So really, for him it’s not where that matters, it’s who is with him that matters.

It was a marathon alright – the last 16 episodes of 溏心風暴之家好月圓 in a weekend.

And we are still reeling from the drama of it all. It had me in teary eyes 10 minutes into the first episode (it was that drama!) and every episode has a mix of crying, scolding and laughter. By episode 5, we were certain TCS MediaCorp would have done 2 separate serials already.

tehpeng :: Like the producer has to meet a KPI every episode.

I quite like the theme song from 林峰 – 愛不疚, (it is so going into my itunes list!) but I suppose one must watch the show to appreciate it.

As with the “what is there for me to watch now” feeling one gets after finishing a drama (especially when Little Nyonya is finishing on us as well. Last epi tmr!), I am looking at this new drama already – 珠光寶氣

Hiyah, I am such a 師奶 (aka auntie).

While the world is buzzing over Twilight the movie (aka those much younger people, like babysis and tehniece-D), I’ve just got myself started on Heart of Greed2-Moonlight Resonance.

I know I’m slow cos the cast has already won awards at the not-so-recent TVB anniversary…but hey, better late than never. I totally missed out on Heart of Greed 1 cos the dvdset was passed around my family and with a new baby in the house (then) needing my time, I was kind of pushed further down the line of recipients. And when I happened to catch it on TV, it was the epi when Lam Fung died which totally killed my interest in the show. Hee.

We’ve devoured 3 epis last night and it’s already darn drama-mama!

You’ve got to watch this clip from Britain’s got Talent 2008. He is awesome and this is what talent shows should be like – ordinary people with talents.

Very unlike what we have here, case in point – SuperB@nd 2008.

Anyway, watching it made me tear. I mean, this clip. The local version would have me tearing something out.

Hiyah, maybe cos mummy already and I can empathise if my boy is being bullied at school?

AND I WAS VERY EXCITED TO GET AN EMAIL FROM SK ABOUT ANDY LAU CONCERT!

I must have blogged about my shallow obsession too many a times. And I am so not ashamed about this. Heehee. Thanks SK!

I would have clicked 2 tickets immediately (and subject tehpeng to 2 hours of Andy “live”. Huh huh huh!) BUT we might be planning a Melbourne trip around the same time.

ARGH!

When we saw the trailer of 一切完美 , we didn’t think it was promising. I mean, a local drama trying to model after Nip/Tuck? Hmm…Still, we gave it a shot and was kinda glued since.

I like that the show doesn’t try too hard, the acting is very natural and the way it’s being filmed is very unlike the usual stark drama-serial way, the storyline is not draggy, the issues are very real (so unlike the scripts for other local drama serials which has script/scenes that never changed much since the 1980s…heh) and the theme song is very nice.

Well Done Channel U!

With a tinge of sadness, the last epi just aired.

I suppose I can now focus on 法證先鋒II which is years behind CSI but still years ahead of alike-themed local dramas.

I still a TVB fan!

It was a good start to the weekend after work on Friday.

We picked up our new ride.

We had free tickets to The Dark Knight.

No, I really don’t recommend anyone bringing their children to watch the show. I felt disturbed that It was Heath’s last movie role… And don’t blink or you’ll miss Edison Chen.

On the drive home, plugged into itouch, tehpeng selected my fav song by 林峰 from The Drive of Life .

And cos it’s Friday night, BBnat slept in with us.

I spent a good few minutes staring at my 2 boys, deep in snoozeland.

Feeling really blessed. Thank You Lord.
