We took an evening walk (so did a lot of other Singaporeans. It was crowded!) at the Henderson Waves with tehfamily, before dinner.
It was a pleasant walk. It was afterall, only 0.3km.
We paused for a self-shot.
lilsnooze :: Aiyah, part of you is cut off. Nevermind, it’s arty this way!
I have a huge pimple above my lips. Maybe I should “darken” it to make it look like a 痣…Hahaha.

That was what the instructor used to encourage those who are new to her class (aka me).
Woh, apparently there are people who “follow” her classes.
So, today was the first class (finally). I went with no expectations and was pleasantly surprised.
Such a pity Yuling wasn’t able to join the class as it was fully-subscribed. Full! Wow.
The class was mostly made up of housewives HDB taitais. I wasn’t the youngest in class. There were some tertiary students. There were even 2 expatriate ladies!
Admittedly I wanted to burst into laughter when throbbing-techno music started at the beginning of the class. First up is the cardio part of the class, aka aerobics. Hah.
So cheesy hoh. Flashes of Richard Simmons came to mind.
But very soon, any awkwardness I had was all forgotten as I grooved and moved accordingly. Or rather, try to catch up and not be two-left-feet.
Not easy leh. Can sweat one ok.
I liked the pilates part of the class, though I need to practise more.
I thnk I am looking forward to the next class. And maybe more of such classes. You know, to just keep moving.
Next class, I can bring my own yoga mat. And confirm can buy more yoga togs.

Don’t laugh but I signed up for a 8-week cardiopilates class at the Community Club near yveonloft. And the class starts tonight!I’m actually rather excited about it.
What will the profile of the class be like? Will I be able to catch up?
Getting my body moving (walking down 4 flights of stairs every morning is hardly exercising, right?) is something that was always at the back of my mind but procrastination and inertia held me back. And I suppose this will help in unknotting all the back tensions.
For some reason, I was motivated this week to do a search for suitable classes. I reasoned I was too chicken to look at gyms or dedicated studios, as I’m just a young auntie wanting to keep fit! So I opted for somewhere on my way home so I had no reason to skip class and affordable, in the event I really cannot keep up or cannot stand the class, there will be no heartpain in stopping mid-way.
With all these in mind and my usual I-think-I-act-fast style, I registered yesterday.
There’s no turning back!
And also, as with my usual style and interest, I actually went shopping for suitable attire before I actually signed up for the class. Huh huh.
Of course, I had to settle the wardrobe first. I only bought a top as I do have activewear pants. If my enthusiasm continues on, I can buy more.
This means – more stuff to look at when I do online-clicking!
