Recently (since the Dec holiday period), Nat started to sleep with us. And this means, early bed time for this mummy. And I really like bedtime with Nat, though it means less me-time and thus, less online time which explains the lack of posts here… Even tehpeng is blogging more regularly than I am!

In the darkness, with no toys to distract him, he’s all mine. (haha)

Sometimes, I will tell him stories I make up along the way. But his favourite is always for mummy to talk about Cars – Lightning, Chick and King racing for the Piston cup. At times, he will interject with the appropriate responses. Very fun.

Then this mummy sometimes try to be funny with him when he gets too talkative and I needed him to wind down

mummy (whispers) :: Sshhhhhh, let’s listen to the sounds of the night. What sound does the sleeping bird make?

Nat :: ……..

mummy :: That’s right. nothing! Sleeping birds don’t make any sounds!

I burst out laughing and he also laughed out loud with me. Haha! Not sure if he really got my (silly) joke.

And even more recently, he wants daddy to join in. And at times, he will hold my hand on his right and hold tehpeng’s hand on his left to sleep. Very sweet.

So, some nights even though I want to have some me-time, it’s very hard to say no to him when he cry ‘mum room”.

Stop my baby from growing up too fast please.
