The event is finally over and 2 weeks after, I feel I am almost back to normal.

I’ve slept in an attempt to pay back the sleep-debt (though it’s just paying back the interest now), I’ve trimmed my hair (super long overdue!), went for my (very much needed!) massage, slowly getting back to my online persona (with shopping as well) and most importantly, spending time with family at home. Though I’m still very much a recluse in terms of meeting friends.

Yes, life is almost normal for me. Till my next posting (work not blog), that is. For now, I’m savouring the last few moments of transition (not much work, just matters pertaining to knowledge management, aka filing!) at work.

Admittedly, being very involved in work means there isn’t much left of me to give to family. Real kudos to women who can give to both work and family. it’s really hard! So, I’m also taking this time to catch up on those lost moments with Nat.

I was really missing out on his developments with my early-start and end-late days. It seemed as if my boy grew much in my ‘absence’, especially in the speech arena. He’s talking alot more, by which I mean singular-words for now. But I’ll gladly take it as it is and rejoice and give thanks. It gives me and tehpeng much joy to hear him speak, words like “there!”, “this!”…and his longest sentence to date is “Go where?”. Hahah. Speak good English is not the movement for the moment, but that’s going to be a long-drawn battle anyway, so rejoice with me, people!

My son speaketh!

Not only is he speaking more, he’s also a tad more active. Just like today, we brought him to Polliwogs and after the initial ‘cold feet’, he quickly warmed up and and was just going, going, going! And even attempting to *gasp*, lunge himself into the ball pit.

Mummy snooze :: Did you enjoy yourself today?

Nat :: Yessssss

And that was another word for the day. :)
